Ever been interested in starting an Internet radio station, but didn't know where to start? Using the Winamp media player application there are many plugins to help you get started. One in particular is the SHOUTcast DSP Plugin, which is a plugin that has the ability to use Winamp as a source to a DNAS server or a Transcoder and Auto DJ instance or any compatible tool which accepts SHOUTcast streams. In simpler terms, this plugin is to be added to Winamp and accepts listeners to what you are listening on Winamp over an Internet protocol, namely HTTP. The plugin also allows you to capture an audio input from your sound card on your computer and use its line in or microphone inputs as sources for the audio you would like to stream. The SHOUTcast DSP Plugin is easy to use and essential to starting your own Internet stream, regardless of what you plan to use it for. Internet radio, an Internet show with listeners, what ever your uses may be, this plugin easily allows you to stream and accept incoming listening connections from outside sources over the Internet.Installing the plugin is very simple. The installer will detect the Winamp installation on your computer and will then install it to the installed Winamp directory. You must have Winamp version 5.5 or higher in order to install this plugin. Now I can get the window to appear, but (a) the EQ curve I draw has no audible effect, and (b) the "Freqency" readout stays at 0 Hz, no matter where I place the cursor. I've used a bunch of graphical EQs, and this seems like it should be easy to figure out, but... ?Other DSP plugins like DeFX or Shibatch are working as expected.
