Sep 24, 2009 4:12 AM in response to wehutty Fixes small bugs add's some nice new features for the iTouch and such.... Well worth it I think Sep 24, 2009 4:52 AM in response to wehutty One thing that iTunes 9 broke, that hasn't been addressed in the 9.0.1 update is smart playlists not appearing in the desired sorting order on an iPhone when compared to their sorting order as they appears within iTunes: Example: You create a smart playlist of Podcasts with a playcount of 0 You sort your list of Podcasts in alphabetical order in iTunes by simply clicking on the "name" in the "name" column. - or - you click on "time" in the time column to sort your unplayed Podcasts so that the playlist sorts them by shortest first and so on. Here's the problem... In iTunes 8 the above synced playlist would appear identical on the iPhone as it did in iTunes. In other words, you could listen to your Podcast playlist in the order you desired / setup within iTunes. In iTunes 9, THIS HAS STOPPED WORKING! Is there some way to upgrade iTunes 9 be reverting back to iTunes 8? iTunes 8 just worked. Cheers / Badtastic Sep 24, 2009 6:43 AM in response to wehutty There are no new features (as compared with iTunes 9.0). Any features that would be added to an iPod touch itself would come from an update to the iPod touch OS, not to iTunes. Message was edited by: Dave Sawyer To my phone. Ugh. Dec 9, 2019 7:07 PM in response to Gee-Tar I had the same issue with my new Ipad Mini 5. But, curiously, I updated the IOS from 12. to 13. before I tried to do any Itunes syncing.
