2025-04-13Hi @RevRun,Welcome to The HP Support Community. Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.I understand the HP Print and Scanner Doctor is asking for an admin password and you don't know it, you have a few options to resolve this issue: Default Admin Password: Try using common default passwords such as "admin," "password," or leaving the password field blank.Reset the Printer: You can perform a factory reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e. Note that this will reset all settings to default, so you'll need to reconfigure the printer afterward. To reset the printer, follow these steps: On the printer's control panel, go to the "Setup" menu. Navigate to "Printer Maintenance" or "Service" menu. Select "Restore" or "Reset," and then choose "Restore Factory Defaults." Confirm the reset. The printer will restart and restore all settings to default. Windows Admin Account: Ensure that you are logged into a Windows account with administrative privileges. HP Print and Scanner Doctor might be requesting the Windows admin password. If you are not sure if your account has administrative privileges, go to "Settings" > "Accounts" > "Your info" and check if it says "Administrator" under your account name.Reinstall the HP Print and Scanner Doctor: Sometimes reinstalling the software can bypass certain issues. Download the latest version of HP Print and Scanner Doctor from the HP website and reinstall it.Refer to this document: HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer User manualI hope this helps. Take care and have a good day. Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. A_GayathriHP Support Community Administrator.
