Original subject line: "Fusion optical flow in timeline (Smooth motion / Tween / TimeSpeed)"HelloIf you want to use the Fusion time manipulating functions, where do you set them so they affect the timeline? My question comes from a lack of understanding of how to implement a workflow where a source clip is X seconds and destination clip should be Y seconds, where Y is X*slowdown factor. Can I put the source into a timeline, set the clip speed as Z% and use the Fusion Optical Flow node + TimeSpeed node to do the actual computation in the Fusion page? It is also my understanding that the Fusion Optical flow is better (based on reading here on the forum and the documentation that calculations should be run overnight) than the semi realtime version in the timeline. Is that true?Is the Fusion “Time Speed [TS]” better than “Speed Warp”?Is the Fusion “Time Stretcher [TST]” better than “Speed Warp”?Is the Fusion “Smooth Motion [SM]” better than “Speed Warp”?I have done the required reading, under the comparison of Fusion in Resolve and Fusion Studio 16, in the section “Retiming”: Optical Flow based retiming. YES | YESLinear and Non-Linear retiming of clips. YES | YESAnimatable frame interpolation and blending for smoother motion. YES | YES“Optical Flow Tools” Fusion in DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 | Fusion Studio 16Optical Flow analysis for generating forward and back vectors. YES | YESChange the speed of a clip using optical flow analysis. YES | YESRepairFrame regenerates a frame using optical flow between its two neighbors. YES | YESSmoothMotion for smoothing of color or aux channels using optical flow. YES | YESTween interpolates between two non-sequential images YES | YES(which leads me to believe it is possible to use Optical flow in Fusion in Resolve)Furthermore, I have read “Fusion9_Tool_Reference” (because there isn’t a version 16 tool reference), chapter 22: Optical Flow [OF] and the contents of how to use the tool. In “Fusion9_Manual”, chapter 17, page 496 and onward describes how to use the tool as well, but with the base understanding that the result is rendered out and used in another software, meaning that the operation is timeline time independent (meaning that the tool does not care about how the clip is set up in a timeline). In the Davinci Resolve 16 Manual, chapter 71 (page 1321) and Chapter 95 (page 1762) are basically identical to Chapter 17 in the Fusion 9 manual, but do not answer the timeline question.Chapter 73 in the Davinci Resolve 16 Manual (page 1349) mentions a timeline. Is that timeline the same as the Edit page timeline?Page 426 (Features in the Cut page) describes how to use Optical Flow to lengthen a clip, which is identical to the “Change speed” menu in the Edit page, in terms of function.I have spent a long time reading about the different functions, and would appreciate long, well thought out responses.Best regards MadsDavinci Resolve Studio 19.1.3 Build 7, Windows 11, 13400F, Nvidia 3060 TI, 572.60 Studio Contents Table of Contents Bookmarks Need help? Around with software. As with previous Strix Fusion headsets, the Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 also features a touch-sensitive plate over the left-hand can which allows you to pause and play music, skip tracks and adjust volume (and synchronize the RGB lighting) using touch gestures. Unfortunately, we found this a bit confusing to use, an issue that wasn't helped by the fact that sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. Occasionally, we picked up the headphones only to find music already playing through them, as we must have accidentally brushed the touch interface while handling the headset. The Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 is comfortable to wear, thanks to its adjustable band. It also comes with a second set of ear cushions, which you can swap for the ones that are on the earpieces out of the box for a better fit. It’s not too heavy either, so if you’re planning on a long play session it shouldn’t feel too uncomfortable. There is one glaring omission, however: the Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 connects to a PC, PS4 or Switch via a USB cable. There’s no audio jack, which limits the amount of devices you can connect it to – for example, it looks like Xbox One gamers will be out of luck.At least the Asus ROG Strix Fusion 700 features Bluetooth for connecting to smartphones, tablets and games consoles. It’s nice to have the option to use the Asus ROG Strix 700 wirelessly, and the built-in 900mAh battery should last around eight hours if you use the RGB lighting, rising to 17 hours with the lighting turned off.Unlike the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless, you can’t swap out the batteries, so when the Asus ROG Strix 700 runs out of juice you’ll need to plug it in to charge, which takesComments
