When the Creation Kit is launched for the first time, it prompts to uncompress these scripts. However, using an older version of the Creation Kit, like mine, this feature does not function. To address this, i have created a simple folder containing the necessary scripts, which can be installed as a mod using Vortex, Nexus Mod Manager, or Mod Organizer 2. This solution allows users of older Creation Kit versions to access and use these scripts effectively. I seem to remember that I had to obtain a version of the creation kit cotemporal with the GOG version of F4. In my case that seems to be ver 1.10.162.0, I cannot swear that that is necessary. I may have got it by using steam to download the creation kit before it updated or perhaps the SteamDepotDownloaderGUI. I also use Creation Kit Platform Extended for Fallout 4 in my case I'm still use ver 0.3 though the latest version may also be compatible. Because I use profiles a lot (particularly since FOLON came out) I have on occasion come unstuck with the version of steam_api64.dll that is in the game root folder, the one that is currently there and working with my CK is ver 2.89.45.4. The one that is put there by the GOG install that is used when I play FOLON has no version and is a different size. So keep backups.:) diziet edit: I should say that I install the creation kit as a mod using Vortex, that way the steam_api64.dll is the appropriate one, BUT I can still launch GOG F4 in my modding profile with the creation kit version of steam_api64.dll, so maybe that is the only version you currently need?

My hope is that the CK has not been delayed specifically to get this Steam Workshop functionality in. There's a crap-ton of bugs the modding community could be fixing right now with the CK, so I'd rather think positively and imagine they're spending their time to ensure the tutorials/wiki/support and CK are all as user-friendly as possible to promote as many people taking part as possible. At the moment Steam Workshop is only available for TF2 and it has a relatively limited scope. I want to mod but currently I'm only borrowing internet. Is there a way to download and open the Creation Kit? The Digital Age seems opposed to people who don't have the internet.Years ago I could download it online from their website, and I do have access to Steam but no way to transfer it as Steams folders seem to be all over the place. Top Voted Answer @SGT_Smash - No, the Creation Kit is for creating levels, mods, assets, etc to use in Skyrim. For Fallout it's pretty much the same thing, but they call it the GECK. You can DL it from Steam.@Platinum - if you already have the PC version of Skyrim, you probably already have the download in your library. Open Steam, go to Library. In the Library column on the left, click the drop down box where it has games listed. Uncheck Games and check Tools. Scroll down and check if Skyrim Creation Kit is listed. You should be able to install it, if it's listed. 2 0 Answers Are you referring to the creation club? Have you looked this up via google search or the nexus community, they usually have more responses than what is found here. If it is just the creation club you are referring to, I thought it was just login once using your bethesda dot net email address and click login, and it will do the rest. Please feel free to respond and I'll do my best to help you out find a solution. 2 1 @Evil_Geoff I already know about the Steam version but I have no idea how to transfer it from one computer to another. Copying folders isn't as obvious with Steam, with an .exe I can simply unpack it. 0 0 You're browsing GameFAQs Q&A as a guest.
