Problem: Adobe Reader will not display PDF in Explorer (displays circle w/slash), however it works OK in Chrome. Running latest versions of both browsers, current updates to OS. Reader update does not fix it. Suspect conflict between earlier Master Collection version of Acrobat/Reader and later updates. Would like to run Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool, but instructions warn: IMPORTANT: THIS TOOL IS NOT FOR USE WITH ANY CREATIVE SUITE PRODUCTS INCLUDING SUITES THAT CONTAIN ACROBAT. IT CAN ONLY BE USED WITH STANDALONE VERSIONS OF ACROBAT AND ADOBE READER.I want to uninstall ALL components of ALL versions of Adobe Reader, then reboot and re-install current version. In trying to sync my last read position in a PDF between two computers, leveraging Adobe Cloud storage, I found that on computer A, the option to "Show online storage when opening/saving files" is checked, however, Adobe Cloud Storage is not shown on the home screen when trying to open files. Conversely, on computer B, the function works exactly as expected, with Adobe Cloud Storage showing on the home screen and listing all my cloud files.While Googling the issue, I saw many references to ensuring Acrobat was updated to the latest version. The version on computer A is 2024.002.21005, while the version on Computer B is 2024.003.20054. As they didn't match, I attempted to update the version on computer A, however, Creative Cloud does not show any updates available for Acrobat Pro, and the program itself does not have a "check for updates" option like that on computer B. With no means to update via CC or Acrobat itself, I uninstalled Acrobat and re-installed it, only to find the version on computer A is still not the current version. I again un-installed Acrobat and Creative Cloud and tried installing via the installer directly available on Adobe's website, only to find that AGAIN the version installed on computer A is not the current version.Ultimately, I don't care what version is on which computer, so long as I can actually leverage Adobe Cloud Storage on both devices, but assuming it has to be the latest version of Acrobat Pro for it to work, I'd love to figure this one out. Does anyone have any ideas as to why Adobe's own installations would put different versions of an app on different computers?
